Kearny Mesa LL Express Triumphs Over MTLL Raging Chihuahuas In Late-Game Victory

Kearny Mesa LL Express beat MTLL Raging Chihuahuas 11-9 on Tuesday after  taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at nine in the top of the sixth when Porter  G doubled, scoring two runs. Kearny Mesa LL Express jumped out to the  lead in the top of the first inning after Jordy L tripled, scoring two runs, and Porter singled, scoring one run.

MTLL Raging Chihuahuas (Sanchez) tied the game up in the bottom of the second thanks to  two singles. MTLL Raging Chihuahuas tied the game at three on a single by Elias S.

In the top of the third, Kearny Mesa LL Express broke up the tie when Weslee H doubled, scoring two runs. Then a ground out by Miles G followed to extend the lead to 6-3.

MTLL Raging Chihuahuas tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth thanks to three singles. MTLL Raging Chihuahuas tied the game at six on a single by Connor F.

In the top of the fifth inning, Kearny Mesa LL Express went back into the lead after Weslee singled, Jimi M singled, and Camden C doubled, each scoring one run.

MTLL Raging Chihuahuas tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a double by Maddie G, a triple by Lukas S, and a single by Elias.

Damian L started the game for Kearny Mesa  LL Express. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and six runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three.

Lukas stepped on the bump first for MTLL. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and six runs over three innings, striking out three and walking five.

Weslee tossed one inning of no-run ball for Kearny Mesa LL Express in relief. The reliever gave up one hit, striking out two and walking none.

Kearny Mesa LL Express amassed 14 hits in the game. Porter and Weslee were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Kearny Mesa LL Express. Jimi, Elliot S, and Jordy each collected multiple hits for Kearny Mesa LL Express. Josiah T led Kearny Mesa LL Express with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Elliot and Weslee each stole multiple bases for Kearny Mesa LL Express.
